About the book

The Banker's Boat is Jake's first novel bringing the coastal town of Portsman to life after a string of multiple murders. The novel is a southern mystery detailing power and greed from outsiders in a small coastal fishing village. The story is centered around a rare species of fish located in a ‘honey-hole’ just north of town and a local pirate-Malle-living in an abandoned lighthouse. Grace, Malle's best and only friend, is the closest victim to the murders after her father and uncle were both among the multiple explosions. Welcome to Portsman.

About the Author

With an undergraduate degree in economics and a master's in accounting in progress, Jake was inspired to write a coastal novel after spending family vacations on the Carolina Coast. The Banker's Boat is Jake's first novel, with the second coming April, 2024.
